The Looking Back Entries - Yes We Can!

Obama came to the little big city October 2nd, on the eve of what literally could be the most important election of our life times.

I remember a time when I could not care less about all things politics. I am sure I thought that politics had nothing to do with me, did not apply to me, and that it was all so above my head that I would never understand them anyways.

Jump forward some 20+ years to now, and I do not remember a more riveting year of politics since I started voting…well aside from Al Gore being shoved aside and Bush sitting in the Oval Office for 8 stunning years of economic decline and war. Blindsided and whacked upside the head…is our America…yes stunned and shocked.

Today, up close and live I got a good look and listen to the man who could very well be our next President…and it was good. He speaks to the everyman…everywoman, struggling to make it all work out…and I mean all of it: income, taxes, housing, employment, education, health insurance, etc. He speaks to the needs that all of us have. Some say seeing him in person was an historical even. Nevertheless he was riveting.

3 weeks til Election Day! Get heard! GO VOTE!
